ANGIE GOODALE & THE GOOD INTENTIONS / KONNER SCOTT

*************************************************

Angie Goodale

Singer Songwriter Angie Goodale is currently working on her second album which will bring many songs forward for listeners to digest & buy where previously they were only played at live shows. The writer based in Atlanta, GA USA has been a part of the local music scene since 1998 playing a variety of stages including Smith's Olde Bar, Eddie's Attic, The Atlanta Dogwood Festival and numerous others.

In 2001 or thereabouts, as a budding songwriter Angie formed a band with two local musician-acquaintances to play new songs she had written and the group became Ion Avenue with Angie on lead vocals & acoustic guitar, Doug Morton on backing vocals & lead guitar, and Phil Anderson on bass.

"I was once in a band called Ion Avenue and we recorded an album based on requests we were getting from some folks who were regularly coming to hear us play. Specifically we got a request from a woman who was at one of our acoustic duo shows at a local Decatur coffee house where she sounded frustrated that we did not have a CD that she could buy. I wasn't planning on doing a recording at the time but I felt pressured *in a good way* to deliver studio music that people could have for themselves - she was right, we should put the music out, I realized. So we recorded this "Live in the studio" album [Liquid Photograph, 2004] within weeks of that request and other requests with all three of us in front of microphones and the music happening organically. We multi tracked the lead guitar parts and percussion." -Angie Goodale

Needing to grow as an artist and writer, Angie sought to pivot focus away from the band Ion Avenue and she took several years solitarily crafting the vision for what now has evolved into Angie Goodale & The Good Intentions. The result is a new band and the chance at introducing more songs from her trove while locking in with her real desire as an artist to get the music to more fans & continuing to play live shows.

"As Angie continues onward, I have no doubt she will have the group and sound that best fits her new material. I am glad they had me come out. I had a great time playing with the band that night and we here at The Backstage Beat wish her much success. Keep an eye open for Angie Goodale, Atlanta. Good things are around the corner for this singer-songwriter." -Rob Alex, Backstage Beat
