About this event

This eight week series provides the necessary skills to aid in preventing, reducing, and managing anger.

The eight tools/weeks include:

  • Recognizing stress
  • Developing empathy
  • Responding instead of reacting
  • Changing that conversation with yourself
  • Communicating assertively
  • Adjusting expectations
  • Forgiving but not forgetting
  • Retreating and thinking things over

This class occurs every week from 1500-1600 at MCAS Miramar Behavioral Health, 2274 Elrod Avenue. Classes rotate through each topic, 1-8, over an 8-week period, continuously. You can start on any week, and attend 8 weeks consecutively to complete the series, no need to start with class 1.

Registration is not required to attend. Occasionally, classes may be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. Check back on Eventbrite for cancelations. Registered participants will be notified by e-mail.

*Must have military base access to attend.
