Alternative Approaches
to Structuring Deals

What’s next beyond Convertible Notes and Priced Rounds

Gwen Edwards, an active angel investor in Silicon Valley, is finding pathways ways to build alignment with entrepreneurs. We all want an exit, but not all entrepreneurs do, or understand the full implications of that choice.  We may even have patience for an IPO, but not all entrepreneurs want to take a company through that process, and run a public company.  We all want at least 10-20X, but on average returns are closer to 2x in 5 years.

Come learn about some of these risk mitigating alternatives, the pros and cons, and the value of having the knowledge of what’s possible in your angel investing tool kit.

Learn what you can do as an angel, when to consider different forms of debt to complement your equity position (at the right time), what kind of company profile is a good fit, what kind of company is ideal, and when do you propose an alternative approach for you/your group.  When is the word “redemption” something positive for entrepreneur and angel. What about an annuity baked into the deal terms?

Come hear about real world examples, that could increase your IRR, and enable you to recycle your investment dollars.
