The presentations by Gordon Daugherty (bio below) will cover fundamentals of angel investing, like portfolio strategy, deal sourcing and evaluation, deal mechanics, along with an opportunity for you to ask questions and roll up your sleeves a bit. You’ll also get to immediately put your learning to the test via a pitch from a Texas-based startup that is actively raising an angel round of funding. Following the lectures, stay for a panel with Houston Tech Ecosystem Leaders to learn more about what is happening and how to get involved in the Houston entrepreneurial community. A reception will follow at Rice University.
