Andrew Joseph Virtual Birthday Celebration
Event Information
About this Event
The Andrew Joseph Foundation has fought for safety, accountability, and justice in Hillsborough County since 14-year-old Andrew Joseph III went to the student-sponsored fair day and never came home. Although he had not broken any laws, AJIII was detained, photographed, searched, and then escorted off the premises. The County Sheriff's Office drove him off the property and abandoned him, a 14-year-old, near a dark and busy highway. Tragically, trying to find his way back to the pickup point, AJIII was struck by a vehicle on I-4 and died on scene.
He would have turned 15 on March 30, 2014, but that was taken from him. The Andrew Joseph Foundation has fought hard to make sure no other parent mourns the loss of a child each birthday.
We're asking for the community to come celebrate the life and legacy of Andrew Joseph III on March 28th, the Sunday before what would have been his 22nd birthday.
This 2-hour event is open to all and is free to enter, although donations are welcomed and encouraged.
We have a fundraising goal of $5,000 for the month of March. Can you help us meet and exceed this goal?
What will we do with your donations? What we have always done: fight for the underdog! Fight for Black lives! Fight for children!
