"Roots, rock and a respite from the road."Bakersfield, California is home of the Bakersfield Sound. Its legends are Merle Haggard and Buck Owens. Its musical heritage dates back to the sounds of the Dustbowl migration and Depression-era country.  Hardscrabble players have come and gone, and for years some of the world’s best musical talent has simply passed through town.Passing Through Productions (“Passing Through”) is an independent concert promotions collective founded by good friends with a passion for great music.  Passing Through’s purpose is to attract the finest up-and-coming musical talent to Bakersfield, California to perform stripped-down, no frills concerts as a gift to our community.  Roots-rocking singer-songwriters, duos and bands traveling between Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas are treated to a respite from the road as they are passing through en route to their next show. In exchange, they perform for the most appreciative audience in the country. P﻿assing Through Productions presents singer/songwriter and storyteller extraordinaire Andrew Duhon Thursday, October 27th at 7 PM at the Bakersfield Museum of Art. A﻿ndrew has proven to be our most popular artist over the years and he returns to Bakersfield to help us celebrate our return to live in-person music! He's been touring the country all summer to rave reviews and is currently appearing in venues up and down the West Coast. Andrew has just released his fourth album titled “Emerald Blue”. If you have a chance to check it out you’ll find a collection of eleven well crafted songs. Critics agree that “Emerald Blue” is an impressive offering featuring Andrew’s uniquely Americana blend of folk, blues, storytelling and soul-searching. And, of course, Andrew’s comfortable vocals will draw you in and make you part of the experience. Along with having Andrew back we’ve also decided to return to our venue roots and invite you back to one of our favorites: The Bakersfield Museum of Art. BMOA has proven to be our most comfortable and relaxed spot to have our shows so it was an obvious choice for us.We're looking forward to an enjoyable evening great music, enjoying old friends and greeting new ones. Hope you can join us Thursday night, October 27th at the Bakersfield Museum of Art. Doors open at 6. Show starts at 7. And, yes, drinks will be served and music will be played!
