The ANDE West Africa Regional Conference, which was piloted in 2017, is a gathering of ANDE Members and partners in the region including leading investors, capacity development providers, foundations, banks, corporations, and research institutions.

Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu, Executive Director of Smallholders Foundation Ltd. /Gte. and Founder/CEO of ColdHubs Ltd.

Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu is a farmer, social entrepreneur; Executive Director of Smallholders Foundation Ltd. /Gte. and Founder/CEO of ColdHubs Ltd.

In 2003, he founded Smallholders Foundation at the age of 21, to inform, educate and improve the livelihood of rural small farmers, using educational radio programs and leading field practical demonstrations. Recently, he launched a for-profit company, ColdHubs Ltd., which designs, installs, commissions and operates 100% solar powered walk-in cold rooms in farms and marketplaces, for smallholder farmers, retailers and wholesalers to store and preserve fresh fruits, vegetables and other perishable food 24/7, extending their shelf life from 2 days to 21 days. ColdHubs aims to eliminate the impact of food spoilage due to lack of cooling and absence of small scale post-harvest infrastructure facing 470 million smallholder farmers globally and increase the income of farmers and retailers because, previous losses have been eliminated.

Nnaemeka is Nigeria’s most prominent young agriculturist and a multi-award winning social entrepreneur who has been recognized worldwide with more than 30 local and international awards, for his innovations that improves the yield and income of smallholder farmers.
