You are invited to a special event: And now we Rhize
Brexit. Duterte. Colombia peace referendum. Trump. It’s been a rough year for those of us who want to see progressive change happen at home and around the world.
But across the globe, citizens are standing up, getting organized, and making their voices heard. Many vibrant new citizen movements have been reshaping the world in important ways around climate change, LGBTI+ rights, combating corruption, and many other issues of justice and inclusiveness.
If we’ve been reminded of one critical lesson over the past year, it’s that positive change will only come from citizens strategically organizing and taking action.
Rhize is a dynamic organization working to support movements and activists around the world. Rhize connects movements to experienced coaches who can pass on proven insights about organizing and change. Rhize carries out research on movements and networks. Rhize works alongside aid agencies and international NGOs to help them support less formal activist groups, networks and movements. And Rhize connects young movement leaders, locally and globally, to support one another.
Want to know more about Rhize and support the important and innovative work they are doing? Join us for food and wine on December 12 from 6 to 8pm at the Open Gov Hub. Hear about Rhize’s work, why others are rhizing up to get behind this mission, and how you can contribute.
Join our auction and bid on great events and food while supporting our work. Sponsors for the silent auction include: Atlas Performing Arts Center, the Capital Fringe Fest, Theater J, MAKE beauty, CulturalDC, Jampire, and Gregorys Coffee. Other event sponsors include: Au Bon Pain and Kogod Liquors.
