Who: members and anyone who wants to learn more about family history. Bring yourself, your neighbors, your family, and your friends to this fun day of family history.


Class Schedule

Getting the Most out of Your Subscription, 8–9 am
Are you using your subscription to its full potential? This class offers an inside look at the historical records available on -- as well as what those records can tell you about your ancestors and how they can help you take your tree further back in time. You’ll also learn how’s tree-building and searching tools can grow your tree to great heights.

Best Strategies for Searching, 9:30–10:30 am 
This class will demonstrate the best strategies for searching the thousands of family history record collections on to get the most information about your ancestors. Learn about various search methods -- and how each method will benefit your family history.
(Designed for beginning to intermediate users of

What’s New on, 11 am-noon is constantly adding new historical records and services to help you better find your ancestors. This class will introduce you to the most recent additions to including content, website features, product enhancements, and much more.

Lunch, 12 noon-2
Visit the booth in the conference’s free exhibit hall. Chat one-on-one with an expert, view website and product demonstrations, or spend some time searching for your ancestors. The conference center offers concessions for purchase.

Tapping into the and RootsWeb Community, 2–3 pm
With more than 1 million subscribers, hosts the world’s largest community of family historians -- many of whom can help you build your family tree. In this class, discover the tools on and RootsWeb that can help you find and communicate with other family historians.

Getting the Most from Family Tree Maker, 3:30–4:30 pm
Family Tree Maker can help you more effectively organize, manage, and share your family history. Topics covered in this class include: getting started in Family Tree Maker, adding information about your ancestors, adding pictures and other media, documenting your sources, searching and the Web from Family Tree Maker, and much more.
