This online, non-credit refresher course explores system-based basic human anatomy and physiology. The course is designed as a 16-week course (new module and test every 2 weeks). Participants will access the course via Carolinas College of Health Sciences information Portal (online teaching platform).
Target Audience: Open to anyone wishing to review basic anatomy and physiology.
Text: Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology, 7th Edition; Elaine N. Marieb
Identify structural components of the human body at different levels of organization.
Describe basic physiological processes of the human body.
Understand how the body systems respond to physical activity, disease, and aging.
Explain how regulatory systems control functions so that homeostasis is maintained.
You will receive course confirmation with instructions on how to log into the Carolinas College of Health Sciences Information Portal one week prior to course start date. You will receive access to start the course on the first day of the month following registration.

Continuing Education Credit:
This course has been approved for 2.5 CEUs (equivalent to 25 class hours) by Carolinas College of Health Sciences. It does not offer college credit hours.
Note: Refund requests must be postmarked at least two (2) business days prior to the first day of class. Fees paid will be refunded by check and mailed within 30 days of request. A portion of the tuition may be retained by the College.
