Understands SQL, in terms of T-SQL, basic database design and some familiarity with dynamic SQL and SQL jobs

Analysis Services has changed – many of the old assumptions about doing OLAP need to be thrown away, and new ones learnt.

You will start with the basics – creating a tabular model using PowerPivot, and developing it to a user friendly interface in Excel.

You will then import this model into a Visual Studio Project, and deploy to Analysis services –decorating the model to enhance frontend tools such as PowerView will be done at this point.

Performance comparisons between multi-dimensional and tabular will done.
