Description
Help identify the plants and animals in our region!
Join the regional Citizen Science Steering Committee as we identify the species observed throughout the Anacostia River Bioblitz. There will be thousands of observations collected over the course of the event but only a fraction of those will be identfied to the species level. We will be putting our heads together and using the resources at your disposal to identify plants, animals, fungi and insects.
Plan to be inside, surrounded by like-minded folks excited to learn more about the flora and fauna of our region by digging into digital photos of specimans in the Anacotia Watershed.
Who should attend?
Anyone interested in learning more about the biodiversity of our region. If you're a naturalist, expert in a particular taxa or want to flex your ecological idenification muscles please join us.
Come Prepared
You will need a laptop and access to iNaturalist. If you have any idenficiation books please bring those as well.
