Guided by Chris White from Ellis Wines, this session is designed for the summer season - easygoing, full of fresh flavours, and perfect for anyone curious about wine, whether you're a total beginner or a regular enthusiast. You’ll explore 4 crisp white wines and 4 elegant reds, each chosen to reflect the vibrant, seasonal character of summer drinking.
Chris brings nearly 20 years of experience in the wine world, having spent a decade working with independent restaurants across the South West and another in hospitality. His warm, informal style makes learning about wine enjoyable and approachable - expect plenty of insight without the jargon.
To enhance the tasting, our in-house chef Dennis Ray Veazey will serve a summery selection of cheeses (vegan option available), from soft and mellow to bold and tangy, thoughtfully paired to complement the wines and elevate each sip.
Over the course of 90 relaxed minutes, Chris will introduce the essentials of wine tasting - how to explore aroma, balance flavour profiles, and find wines that suit your palate. This is more than just a tasting; it’s a chance to deepen your appreciation of wine in a friendly and welcoming setting.
