This two-part In-person Professional Development will give participants the opportunity to learn and apply the SEST Storytelling Communication model to their own personal and impersonal stories as they use it with their students.

An Introduction to the SEST Storytelling Communication approach (Session 1)

In this session, teachers will learn about the Story Emotion Social Therapy (SEST) methodology and using the me-first approach. The experience will allow them to think more deeply and make helpful choices in their real-life situations.

Helping Children Tell Stories on their Mind (Session 2)

In this session, participants will create a more authentic connection with students by practicing strategies to support children’s learning through storytelling and effective listening, regardless of the subject area.
