"The lens has psychic strength. The camera can see beneath the skin."

- Martin Scorsese

Every performer should know that acting for the stage and acting for the camera are two entirely different skills, and in order to succeed in this business, it's vital to master both. That's why we're proud to offer this exciting class that will focus on the art of on-camera acting for film and television. It helps you to act truthfully from your core -– whether you are performing, cold reading, or auditioning for film or television. This class teaches how to achieve and respond with believable and honest emotions before the camera, and it maintains that the key to a successful performance lies in how the actors relate to one another and to their circumstances. On-camera time throughout the class - along with readings, exercises, and discussions - gives actors an accessible resource for practicing the outlined principles and mastering their craft.

Our On-Camera classes are designed for actors with various levels previous training and experience. As part of this course, we will cover the concepts of:

-Slating
-Key lighting
-Hitting your marks
-The audition
-Cold reading
-Camera vs. stage
-Playing natural
-Discovering your moment before
-Exploring a variety of camera shots

Space in this class is limited. Make the decision to be serious about your career and book a spot for yourself before the class is full!
