Description

Mindfulness is about moment to moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, body sensations and our surrounding environment. It is a technique for training the mind to focus attention on exactly what is happening in the present moment and not to run into all the worries of the future and all the concerns of the past.




What will you do on the course?

  • Complete a 30 minute group session each week for 6 weeks learning Mindfulness Techniques with a trained Facilitator
  • Commit to around 5 minutes a day self practice for the 6 weeks
  • Take part in a Wellbeing Survey at the beginning and end of the course
  • Mindfulness is practiced sitting upright in a chair and last approx. 10-15 minutes




On successful completion of the course you will have;

  • practiced a slection of mindfulness techniques
  • started to establish your own mindfulness practice
  • reflected on the way mindfulness can benefit your college studes and day to day life
  • Qualified for a Healthy Body Healthy Mind Open Badge and Mindfulness CPD Certificate

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Anyone can practice mindfulness - children, adults young and old.
