Description

Mindfulness is a practice of learning to be more in the present moment - not the past or the future. Often we are lost in thought and worry about our own lives and our broader community. Attention to the breath, body sensations and noticing when our thoughts are spinning, can help us maintain balance. We begin to listen and interact with more awareness and also can bring ease and calm into our heart. This can be practiced formally and throughout the day.


Facilitator Claire Box, RN, MSN, has been practicing mindfulness meditation for more than 20 years and has facilitated practice groups in many different settings.
