Description

Please note that this workshop is for those involved in direct delivery of physical activity to residents within the London Borough of Camden.

An introduction to Physical Activity and Mental Health, in partnership with MIND in Camden.

This informal workshop is aimed at any organisation providing sport and physical activity in Camden, and aims to introduce the topic of mental health, explain it's importance to sport and physical activity and the particular significance of mental health in Camden currently, for both adults and young people.

Mental Health charity, MIND in Camden, will provide insight and feedback on their national 'Get Set to Go' campaign, as well as providing local good practice of local community organisations who are successfully using physical activity to improve mental health.

We are looking for organisations who are proactive about opening their sessions up to become more mental health friendly, and will provide information around the Sports and Recreation Alliance charter for Mental Health - where you can receive one on one support to create your own action plan for making your organisations more inclusive for those with mental health needs.

After the workshop, we will support organisations to decide how they fit with local priorities around mental health, providing further training around mental health and sport and physical activity and helping you to put your plans into action.
