About this event
Filing a VA claim can be a long and overwhelming process for the entire family. Maybe you're the veteran? Maybe you're a spouse of a veteran or advocate family member and you want to learn more about the process. If that's the case, this chat is for you. An Insider's Perspective: VA Claims Process will a periodic meeting to give an overview of the process, pitfalls, and timeline of filing your claim. This event will take place via zoom on Wednesday, Feb 15, 2023 at 12 pm CST (1 pm ET, 11 am MT, 10 am PT).
We are excited to welcome our guest presenter, Richard Smith, back to our VSN community. Richard is a retired US Army First Sergeant, with 22 years’ service. Since 2018, he’s served as the Coryell County Veteran Service Officer. His passion is assisting veterans in filing their claim to receive justly deserved VA benefits. He’s married, with three adult children and four grandchildren. His oldest son served four years in the Marines, and his youngest son retired from the US Army after 20 years, having served six combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
There's nothing quite like peer support and connection. Our VSO presenter, Mr. Smith, is excited to create a virtual space where you can ask questions about the claims process.
To be eligible for this group you must be the spouse, partner, or caregiver, or family member of an active duty service member or post-service veteran or an active duty service member, or post service veteran.

Once registered, on the morning of the event, you will be e-mailed a Zoom invite to join via computer, tablet, or phone. You will also be able to access the Zoom information by viewing the event's Online Event Page.
