Invite you to an evening discussion with guest speaker

Rob Laidlaw, Executive Director, Zoocheck

Rob is an animal advocate who has spent over 35 years working to protect animals of all kinds, and has been involved with a wide variety of campaigns including initiatives to change laws, raise public awareness, litigate in the courts and rescue animals, from Canada’s north to tropical Asia.

Rob is a Chartered Biologist and Executive Director of Zoocheck, a Canadian-based international wildlife protection charity established in 1984 to promote and protect the interests and well-being of wild animals. He is also the award-winning author of 8 book and 2014 recipient of the CFHS Frederic A. McGrand Award for substantial contributions to animal welfare in Canada.

Rob will share from his experiences in animal advocacy, touching on subjects such as how change works, what types of action are most effective, what expectations as activists should be, and how to structure an animal advocacy campaign.

There will be lots of time for questions and discussion afterwards.

Complimentary vegan snacks and drinks will be served.
