Van Dyke Parks, a remarkable musician, composer, arranger, and producer, is probably best known for his collaborations with Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys, including the famed SMiLE album. Van Dyke has worked with such artists as U2, The Byrds, Rufus Wainwright, Harry Nilsson, Ry Cooder, Bonnie Raitt, Frank Zappa, and Ringo Starr. He is also an extraordinary solo artist who has released seven acclaimed solo albums. For the concert, Van Dyke will be accompanied by his stellar band mates: harpist Amy Shulman Kent, cellist Cameron Stone, Dave Stone on standup bass, and percussionist Don Heffington. They will be joined by guest artist, singer/songwriter Joe Henry, a three-time GRAMMY®-winning producer. Singer/songwriter Inara George will perform two songs. Inara is a member of the duo The Bird and the Bee, the trio The Living Sisters, and the band Merrick. The concert will also feature guitar cameos by "South Pasadena's Own" David Plenn.
