Event description

Description

You and a guest are invited to attend a special evening with guest speaker Tina Hay, '83, editor of The Penn Stater magazine. Tina has been the editor for 16 years and, under her direction, the magazine has won more than 200 national awards. She's been a popular speaker at other Penn State chapters and has great stories (and visuals) about what goes into the making of our alumni magazine. Tina will talk about the challenges Penn State and Penn Staters have endured since last November and about the magazine's efforts to cover the crisis honestly. (This year the magazine has already won 16 national awards, most of them for its coverage of the scandal.) There will be time available for questions and discussion following her presentation.

Cost is $25 for San Francisco Bay Area Chapter members*, or $30 for non-members and guests. Appetizers and a cash bar will be provided. Registration is required by Monday, September 3.

Please note: Business attire is required at the University Club. No hats, T-shirts or shorts will be permitted.

*Chapter membership dues can be paid online via the Penn State San Francisco Bay Area Chapter site. Membership dues support the local chapter's programs and activities.
