EVENT DETAILS

The Sacred Valley Project and the Embassy of Peru cordially invite you to join us for our second annual Evening with the Sacred Valley Project. This year we have the wonderful opportunity to host this event on the International Day of the Girl, a day declared by the United Nations which celebrates the power of girls and highlights the barriers they face.

We hope you'll join us to celebrate the young women in the Sacred Valley who are transforming their lives through education by enjoying an inspirational keynote, a silent auction (new this year!), the Embassy's latest Peruvian art exhibit, and hors d'oeuvres including traditional Peruvian fare and Pisco sours sponsored by the Embassy of Peru.

Special Guest: Joseph Levitan, PhD International and Comparative Education and Educational Leadership

Joseph Levitan is a professor in the department of integrated studies of education at McGill University, and the Co-founder and Director of Educational Operations at SVP. Joe has been working with Indigenous communities since 2009, and is involved in ensuring that the young women at SVP are able to access the best education possible.

Silent Auction!

This year's event will include an exciting silent auction including biddable items from Aveda, Beautycounter, Local D.C. restaurants, Louis Bryant Photography, Mangia Food Tours, Mary Kay, Mere Jewelry, Peruvian textiles and artwork, Sparkfire Active, The Shop Salon, Whitby Handbags and more!
