Description
“An Evening with Rumer” will be presented on the South Pasadena Public Library Community Room “Carnegie Stage” on Saturday, March 26 at 8 p.m. The very special fundraising concert will benefit the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library and her handpicked charity, Save Korean Dogs/NamiKim.org.
Rumer is a critically acclaimed British soft rock singer songwriter with three successful albums including her debut “Seasons of My Soul” which sold over a million copies. . Rumer has earned raves for her live shows across the globe. Rumer has performed on the “Daryl’s House” TV show and for President Obama at the White House and Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace. She is currently working on a Bacharach-David Songbook album to be released by Warner Music in 2016. The show will open with a solo piano performance by Rumer’s husband J.R. (Rob) Shirakbari who has worked with Adele, Elvis Costello, Garth Brooks, Elton John, and many others. Rumer’s performance will feature accompaniment by a stellar band.
Limited seating is available and admission cannot be purchased at the door. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and seating will be “festival style”—first come, first served. Free parking for concertgoers will be available across the street from the Community Room at 1020 El Centro Street.
