We have become accustomed to the gloomy economic and jobs outlook in Spain. Despite this, there are some industries that are flourishing. Namely in the area of Data Management & Analysis.

Did you know that every year, all the world's information generated through the world wide web, grows at a factor of 2? In a 2011 research paper, McKinsey estimated that by 2018, the US alone will need to create 1.2m new Data Manager roles to support businesses using data. Find the full report here.

So we are presented with a huge challenge on two fronts.

1). Are we able to train that many people in that short a time?
2). Are there enough people that are suited to learning Data Analytics?

In this 45min talk, Dr. Roger Schank will give his thoughts about how the educational system needs to adapt to fulfil those needs and also provide some practical ​and real examples on how such learning programs could look​​ like.
