Event description

Description

Lutheran pastor and New York Times bestselling author, Nadia Bolz-Weber will speak at an event hosted by the Parish Resource Center on Saturday, April 28 at 6 p.m.

Bolz is founding pastor of House for All Sinners and Saints, an Evangelical Lutheran Church of America congregation in Denver, Colorado. Heavily tattooed and often profane, Bolz-Weber takes an unusual approach to church. She is part of what scholar and writer, Diana Butler Bass, calls the “new Reformation.”

A recovering addict, Bolz-Weber has created a congregation that is open to those struggling with addiction as well as persons who are uncomfortable in traditional churches.

Bolz-Weber will speak about her own faith journey and her vision for the changing church.

“[Bolz-Weber] is a tatted-up, foul-mouthed champion to people sick of being belittled as not Christian enough for the right or too Jesus-y for the left.”

—The Washington Post

“The amazing thing about Nadia Bolz-Weber is that she manages to take her Christianity into corners of life where the church can be pretty uncomfortable going.”
