World famous rock vocalist and lyricist Jesse Leach, lead singer for the globally popular metal band Killswitch Engage, will appear at Concordia College on March 1.
Named Entertainer of the Year in England, Mr. Leach has a much-copied vocal style and will engage the audience with musical demonstrations, conversation and videos. He has toured the globe and has entertained audiences from Europe to Africa, Russia, Japan, Thailand and China, and is credited with being one of the pioneers of the metal sub-genre metal-core.
Killswitch Engage has sold over four million records in the U.S. and is an American metalcore band that has released six albums and one DVD. Their upcoming seventh album, Incarnate, is scheduled for release on March 11th and is one of Rolling Stone Magazine's 25 Most Anticipated Metal Albums of 2016. The group rose to fame with its album "The End of Heartache," the title track of which was nominated for a Grammy Award.
The event takes place on Tuesday, March 1 from 7-9pm in the Sommer Center for Worship and the Performing Arts.
