An Evening with Eddie Hamilton ACE

Join us Wednesday September 26, for the next lacpug Meet.

Honored to welcome editor Eddie Hamilton ACE, (subject to availability) to lacpug for the first time.

Eddie has edited both Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, and Mission: Impossible - Fallout for director Christopher McQuarrie. Before that he was co-editor on 20th Century Fox's Kingsman: The Secret Service (with Jon Harris) for writer/director Matthew Vaughn, Universal's Kick-Ass 2 for writer/director Jeff Wadlow, and was co-editor on Fox's X-Men: First Class (with Lee Smith) again for Matthew Vaughn. And many more.

There will be clips and there will be time for Q and A.

Oh yeah, Stump the Gurus and World Famous Raffle.

Agenda (subject to change and availability)

6:45- 7:15PM - Stump The Gurus
Join Gurus Patrick Southern, and TBA as they will attempt to answer all of your questions and solve all of your problems concerning Resolve and FCPX, Avid, Premiere Pro and anything else you can think of. If they can't solve your problem or answer your question, then you go home with a problem, but you still got out of the house, so that's not a bad thing.

7:20PM - 8:20PM - A Conversation with editor Eddie Hamilton ACE - Eddie Hamilton

We will use the hour to discuss Eddie Hamilton's remarkable career editing such movies as Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Kick Ass 1 and 2, Kingsman: Secret Service, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, Kingsman: Golden Circle, and (still in theatres) Mission: Impossible - Fallout.

We will dissect selected scenes from, (if time allows) Kick Ass, Kingsman: Secret Service and Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. We will touch on what Eddie looks for, and expects from his Assistant editors. There will be time devoted to Eddie's ever changing editing methods and why he has no problem with the word "manipulation."
