Some authors write a novel a year, others are on the ten year plan. Dennis McFarland has been been reliably engaging us every four or so years since his first novel, The Music Room, was published in 1990.
Since then, he has written six best selling novels and published a myriad of short stories in the New Yorker, The American Scholar and elsewhere. He received a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and was a Wallace E. Stegner Fellow at Stanford Unversity.
His writing has been called "inventive," "lyrical," and "captivating." He is a master storyteller who is also a masterful teacher. His latest novel, Nostalgia, is soon to be published by Pantheon Books.
Dennis will be engaging us in conversation with Lisen Stromberg at Books, Inc. in Palo Alto on Tuesday, October 15th. Wine and treats from 6:30 pm. Program begins promptly at 7:00 pm. Book signing at 8:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. We suggest you reserve your seat now.
Books, Inc. has graciously agreed to donate 15% of all store sales the evening of the event to Abilities United.
Come join the conversation.
