Event description
An astounding story of triumph over tragedy, and spectacular photos/stories of the fastest flying aircraft ever built.

About this event

Proceeds from this event to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and the Folsom Rotary Foundation.

Hear an astounding story of triumph over tragedy. Severely burned in a fiery crash in the jungles of Vietnam, Brian Shul was told he would never fly again. Enduring the pain of fifteen major surgeries and a year in military hospitals, he fought his way back into the skies to become a TOPGUN Flight Instructor. His amazing determination led to his selection as a spy pilot for the Top Secret SR-71, the fastest, highest flying jet in the world. Now a highly acclaimed author, photographer and motivational speaker, Brian’s remarkable story of faith-based fearlessness has inspired millions with its universal appeal.

Coupled with a stunning multimedia presentation, this is the one show every group labels as “The Best We’ve Ever Seen."

This program is a fundraiser for The Wounded Warrior Project to bring independence back to our nation’s most severely wounded veterans, as well as the Folsom Rotary Foundation to support humanitarian projects for the City of Folsom, and around the world. Exciting raffles of framed, signed poster of Brian and the SR-71 as well as Brian Shul's book 'Sled Driver' will be available at the event.

Limited VIP tickets are available which includes a meet and greet with Brian Shul before the event (6:30pm), special seating, and special gifts.

The Harris Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the return of live performances!

In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Harris Center was temporarily closed to ensure the health and safety of our patrons, performers, volunteers, faculty, staff, and students. Even while closed, support from our donors, members, and community never wavered. Because of this generosity, the Harris Center and the Los Rios Colleges Foundation are pleased to partner with our local community-based organizations and help sponsor their return to live performances at the Center as part of the soft reopening this fall. All nonprofits participating will have the opportunity to receive a financial sponsorship from the Harris Center to help offset the costs associated with rental fees and other operating expenses. These funds will ensure the return of some of our community arts organizations to the stage, and allow them to provide the professional, entertaining, and heartwarming performances the Harris Center has become known for over the past 10 years.

The Harris Center Safety Protocols and Policies:

The event takes place at the Harris Center which is on the Folsom Lake College campus. All attendees must adhere to the Harris Center safety protocols and policies.
