Description

An Evening with Andy McNab CBE DCM MM.

25th October 2017, 7pm for 7.30pm

Former SAS solider, prisoner of war, turned award winning author, Andy will talk about his time on operations around the globe and his subsequent capture during Gulf War 1. He will also talk for the first time about his own struggle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as well as his involvement with the charity he now supports, PTSD999.

The Gonville Hotel, Cambridge has very kindly provided the venue, drinks and canapés (special, manly, Special Forces canapés).

The Evening will start with a brief introduction from former solider, bodyguard to the stars and co-founder of PTSD999 Simon Durance, followed by Andy's talk. Andy will also answer any questions you might have.

Afterwards we will all retire to the bar where Andy will be happy to sign any books, foreheads, chests etc, etc

The rest of us can enjoy the delights of a rather well stocked bar and exchange stories, including our time when the office photo copier jammed and we were all alone, nothing but a half chewed BIC pen and Mary from HR to save the day!

£25 per head to include drinks and canapés.

All proceeds of the event go directly to support members of the Emergency Services suffering from Post Traumatic Stress.

‘We are the Pilgrims, master, we shall go always a little further:

It may be beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow,

Across that angry or that glimmering sea.

White on a throne or guarded in a cave

There lives a prophet who can understand

Why men are born: but surely we are brave

Who take the golden road to Samarkand.’
