Event description

Description

Join us for a special intimate look inside Symphony Hall, home of the world renowned Boston Symphony Orchestra informally known as the BSO. IFMA Boston will kick off its monthly program calendar in classic style with networking, and a presentation on Symphony Hall led by Bob Barnes, BSO Director of Facilities. Bob will discuss what’s behind the walls and the challenges to maintain and operate the efficient building systems while keeping Symphony Hall so acoustically tuned and balanced. A tour will follow and then for something completely different, a demonstration by Ben Houge, one of Berklee’ s finest college professors with a musical, technologically infused interlude with Apple iPads. The iPads have an app where we can assume the role of an orchestral section and the Berklee maestro will conduct us. It’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Parking information can be found at www.bos.org
