About the artists:

Manella is a versatile singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and actress from Vancouver, Canada. Her singing style is truly unique, heavily influenced by Jazz, Pop, Latin, R&B, Rock and Musical Theatre; while still grounded in a strong Classical background. Her vocal maturity and agility is truly beyond her years. Her talent, however, is not the only aspect bringing her recognition; she also exhibits a hard-working determination unlike any other. Seeing her on stage is enthralling. In every lyric, she captures you; with every note, she opens herself up like a book full of emotions.

Maria is not only an incredibly mature singer with a warm soulful tone, but a witty songwriter, and a composer in her own right. She is an incredibly promising young talent, who having only been on the scene for a few years, has already received numerous accolades, recognition, and is a frequent performer in Vancouver and Montréal. Maria is an extraordinary musician; whose dedication, ambition, and command of the stage are a force to be reckoned with.

Sophie Lane (they/she) is a vocalist, songwriter, performer, and musical theatre connoisseur. Their music is a natural blend of folk, Americana, and blues, with a garnish of jazz. She combines folk-jazz soulfulness with a twist of Broadway in her original tunes. Her songs thrive in that in-between place where humor and pain combine. She recently debuted her first EP, Medicine, a collection of tunes ruminating on grief and healing. In 2018 she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in an original musical titled Parlor, which she hopes will be the first theatre project of many to come.

You can hear Sophie performing in intimate bars and clubs around the Island of Montreal, as well as in her band 'Something At The Bottom of the Lake' which brings many original funk and jazz tunes to life. She is also a proud member of Effusion Accapella at Mcgill. Sophie is currently studying Jazz Voice at Mcgill University.
