An Evening of Solos and Duos
In an uniquely collborative performance, Michael Malis (piano) and Keith Miller (double bass) offer a program of music that is both orginal and genre-bending.
Malis, an award winning composer and a "prime cut Detroit jazz piano player" and Miller, a semi-finalist at both the Sphinx Competition and International Society of Bassists Competition, share the common legacy of the performer-composer.
With that in mind, these two musicians will present duos and solos of original music ( including premieres) which will incorporate their divergent traditions.
