About this event
“A splendid, utterly unexpected and unique piece of music…more imagination and creative energy was invested into these fifteen reinterpreted and rearranged compositions then in a hundred and fifteen newly written songs,” — Miljenko Jergović (Bosnian-born author whose writing is celebrated throughout Europe)
The acclaimed Bosnian and Herzegovinian duo will perform compositions from their new album, Lume, featuring love songs inspired by Sephardic, Croatian, Romanian and Kosovar melodies. Ključo is a classically trained musician who performs both classical and contemporary world music. Milušić is known for her unique contralto and the ability to interpret a variety of musical styles.
Complimentary refreshments will be served before the concert.
Free Onsite Parking: The parking garage entrance (3845 Wisconsin Avenue, NW) is at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Rodman Street, NW. Look for signs and volunteers directing you to the Middle School Drama Studio.
