Description
Featuring renowned vocalist Rajyasree Ghosh (Kolkata, India) accompanied by Tripp Dudley on tabla (NYC). Join us for a special night of Classical Indian Music featuring Khayal style singing in the beautiful ambience of Haiku I Do.
Sri Rajyasree will be performing and teaching in Asheville as part of her U.S. tour this Fall. Rajyasree is a prominent singer of Indian Classical (Khayal) and Semi Classical (Bhajan) music. She performs regularly throughout India and the US and is a professor of Indian Classical Music at Rhabindra Bharati University. www.rajyasree.com
Tripp Dudley is a disciple of the renowned tabla player Pdt. Samir Chatterjee. His deep groove and virtuosity across multiple instruments have paved the way for his many journeys around the world with many different musicians. www.trippdudley.com

About the space:
Haiku I Do is a magical event space with a Zen garden, chapel, bar and lounge. The concert will take place in the 60 seat lofted chapel. YOu are welcome to bring a floor cushion if you prefer to sit on the floor in the front. There will be tea and other beverages available at the bar. www.haikuido.com
