Description

JOIN US FOR THE CELEBRATION!

The Mu’ooz story began in 2008 with 22 African refugee women from Rwanda, Eritrea, Somalia, Ethiopia Liberia and Burundi completing Certificate II in hospitality. Within 6 months they were all employed in different industries such as hospitals and cleaning companies and
schools.

Every year since 2009, on average, 14 women have been successfully trained on the job whilst being employed. We also provided school-based apprenticeships in 2011-2015 as well as providing a joint traineeship program for 12 women with another training agency.

Mu’ooz has over a period of ten years successfully empowered, trained, employed and set up over 160 women. These women have moved on to be employed in many varied areas of employment in the community. Mu’ooz also provides advice and mentoring for other young African entrepreneurs wishing to start a business.

For 2018 we hope to increase our traineeships by 50%. Despite the hardships within business economics we have continued to demonstrate successes with our program. One of our dreams we believe will come to reality in 2018 is the new business branding and product launching of some of our favourite spices.
