Event description

Description

6:00 p.m. Seating

After several requests, an allergen-free dinner is here. We've teamed up with Chef Brian Hale (Sauce Mag Best Chef, Monarch, Chase Park Plaza) and the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America’s St. Louis Chapter to offer a creative and intimate prix fixe dinner made without any of the “Big-8” food allergies: Milk, Eggs, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Fish, Crustacean Shellfish, Soy, and Wheat.

Join us in The BHIVE at Brennan's for one of two seatings on Friday, July 26. Tickets are $125.00, and include the meal, tax, tip and a donation to the AAFA-STL. Guests may purchase an optional beverage pairing to go with the meal, or order beer, wine and cocktails a la carte from The BHIVE bar menu. An additional donation can also be made to AAFA-STL to support the services they provide to kids with allergies and asthma in the St. Louis community.

About Chef Brian Hale

Hale started his culinary career in Milan, but has been a part of St. Louis dining for more than 15 years. His talent has shaped the tastes of several area restaurants: Al Baker’s, Harry’s Downtown, Sqwires, Monarch and Chase Park Plaza. Throughout the years Chef Hale has been recognized by Sauce Magazine as Best Chef in St. Louis and regaled as Favorite Chef in St. Louis by the Riverfront Times. As Executive Chef for Sqwires (2002) and Monarch (2006), Chef Hale’s efforts helped each restaurant earn honors for Best New Restaurant in St. Louis, and again in 2007, when Monarch was voted Best Restaurant. Chef Hale also won the first annual Iron Fork competition in 2007 and has been featured by the prominent culinary magazines Bon Appétit and Gourmet.

About the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, St. Louis Chapter

For almost 40 years, the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, St. Louis Chapter (AAFA-STL) has provided free prescription medication and coaching to help low income children with asthma and allergies thrive. Last year, over 773 children and their families were able to breathe easier because of the foundation's support. In addition, AAFA-STL helps school nurses in over 280 schools throughout the St. Louis region by providing them with nebulizers and other equipment to stop an asthma emergency at school instead of sending children to the emergency room or home. The organization also provides trainings and other support around food allergy awareness throughout the region. For more information please go to www.aafastl.org.
