Event description
Author talk: Sy Montgomery talks about her latest book and her experiences with animals.

About this event

While researching her books, films, and articles, Sy has been chased by an angry silverback gorilla in Africa, hunted by a tiger in India, swum with piranhas, electric eels and dolphins in the Amazon, and learned to SCUBA dive in order to commune with octopuses. She is the author of over thirty books for children and adults including the award-winning How to be a Good Creature , The Good Good Pig, The Hummingbirds’ Gift, and The Soul of an Octopus . She has a unique perspective in her interaction with animals, both wild and domestic, which includes observation, respect, and communication.

The program is free and open to the public, but advance registration is necessary as space is limited. Please note that all attendees must follow the SAU 21 COVID requirements by observing social distancing and wearing a mask while in the school building.

**The Library gratefully acknowledges The Frying Pan Lane Fund (NH Charitable Foundation) for funding this program and the Lincoln Akerman staff for hosting the program.
