Event description

Description

Join us Saturday, June 1st at Yellowhammer Brewing for an album release party with Huntsville-based Americana artist Amy McCarley. The former NASA contractor finds balance in a new perspective with MECO, her second studio album working with producers Grammy-winning guitarist Kenny Vaughan & studio owner George Bradfute since transitioning to a career in music five years ago. The eclectic offering of roots country, rock & blues influenced tunes features contributions from co-writer and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer, Pat Alger; musician Chris Scruggs; guests Marty Stuart, Kenny Lovelace & Harry Stinson. Early reviews have drawn attention to the album's "emotional honesty, pensive gorgeous timelessness," presenting "everything lacking in the majority of the mainstream right now."

Proudly sponsored by Woody Anderson Ford, proceeds from this event will benefit Felines & Canines Hunter Stephenson Rescue Center and the Space Camp Scholarship Fund. As a long-time rescuer of homeless animals & NASA enthusiast with a liberal arts background, Amy is thrilled to help support these two local organizations. Your admission fee to this limited capacity event at Yellowhammer's Lost Highway Beirhall includes a signed CD, full band concert, catering by Earth & Stone Wood Fired Pizza and the good vibes that come with knowing you are contributing to the aforementioned great causes. Additionally, a portion of proceedes from the cash bar featuring Yellowhammer signature cocktails & award-winning beers benefits these initiatives.
