Event description
Learn about the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania's locomotives and cars used by Amtrak, and its dynamic history that began in 1971.

About this Event

Join the staff of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania for a virtual tour about the life, death, and rebirth of the American passenger train! Amtrak turns 50 this year. To celebrate, we will be offering an indoor live tour of some of our pre-Amtrak equipment that relates to the story and a pre-recorded tour of some of our Amtrak locomotives in our outdoor yard- the Metroliner, E60, and AEM-7. During the tour, we will explore how and why Amtrak came to be, the national passenger rail system’s tumultuous early years, and how the system has developed to the present. The tour will be followed by a live audience Q&A.

Access is limited to one screen per ticket.

Join us for a fun, interactive evening of railroad history!
