It's that time of year AMTA members! Join us in Orlando as we wrap up 2017 with complimentary lunch, goodie bags, and FREE CEU CLASSES.

Featuring guest educators Dr. Jeff Cullers owner of Premier Continuing Education, past National AMTA President Laurel Freeman, and owner of Central Florida School of Massage Mike McGillicuddy.

Guest room discounted rate $109.00 (subject to availability): Call the Rosen Plaza Reservation Department at 407-996-9700 or call toll-free at 800-627-8258. Request the group rate for the American Massage Therapy Association. Individuals are responsible for payment of room, tax and Incidental charges. Departure dates will be reconfirmed upon check-in. Any adjustments to departure dates should be made at that time. Shortened lengths of stay, thereafter, will result in a $50.00 administrative fee, plus applicable taxes and surcharge.

Non-AMTA members are welcome to attend with a payment of $60 which can be applied as credit toward 1-year AMTA membership at the Annual Meeting. Guests are welcome to attend lunch with a payment of $40; limit of one lunch guest per registrant. Payments are made at the door by check or cash.

CEU Classes

Registrants may choose a total of 6 hours consisting of EITHER Laurel Freeman's Full Day RNR™ or two courses by Dr. Cullers and Mike McGillicuddy.

9am-12noon - Massage for the Oncology Patient - Dr. Jeff Cullers

Using the “who, what, when, why, how” teaching model, Dr. Cullers will share the many facets pertaining to this topic; who uses oncology massage, what oncology massage is, what is cancer, the various effects of cancer treatments, when massage therapy should and should not be performed, as well as the concept and application of Oncology/ Lymphatic Manual Drainage and common medications related to cancer treatments. 9am-12noon -RNR™ 6-Hour Course: 1-Min Stupendous Psoas Release, Perfect Piriformis Release & 3-Min Flexible Full Body Routine - Part 1 - Laurel Freeman

9am-12noon - Proper Foot Care for the Massage Therapist - Mike McGillicuddy

The majority of massage therapists spend much of their day on their feet while working on clients. When you spend hours a day on your feet, taking proper care of them is critical. This class will provide suggestions on how to properly care for your feet and reduce your risk of foot pain, both now and into the future. No massage table needed. Category: Self Care

Millions of Americans play golf, with 25 million of us hitting the golf course at least once a year, according to a report from the National Golf Foundation. With golf holding steady as a popular recreational pastime, it would benefit massage therapists and their golfing clients to understand how recovery massage for golfers can help. By understanding the unique concerns of your golfing clients and providing them targeted treatment, you can help decrease their chances of injury, accelerate their recovery and enhance their performance on the golf course. 2pm-5pm - Post Isometric Relaxation - Dr. Jeff Cullers

This seminar will present the science, practical application, and incredible benefits of Post Isometric Relaxation Stretching Techniques (PIR), also known in the US as a Manual Muscle Energy Technique. Dr. Cullers will discuss and demonstrate how Post Isometric Relaxation Stretching Techniques (PIR), a Manual Muscle Energy Technique tool is used to improve function through the release of hypertonic musculature and has been found to be more effective than simple stretching.
