AMONG THE ACRES

Hailing from Hartford, CT, Among the Acres is an indie-rock quartet that fuses an eclectic range of influences into a sound defined by cascading vocal harmonies, intricate guitar arrangements, multi-instrumental experimentation, and an insatiable desire for “groove”. They deliver powerful live performances, marked by a dynamic spectrum of style, emotion, and feel. Among the Acres was voted “Best New Band” in Connecticut, 2018 by ctNOW and can be found performing regularly in their home state as well as across the Northeast. The “Acorns” are set to release their debut LP “Looking In” March of 2019, and are gearing up for their Northeast Tour.

Their live performance career has taken them from hometown fixtures like Infinity Hall and Arch Street Tavern, to the intimate listening rooms of Radio Bean and Foam Brewery in Burlington, VT. They have also had the privilege of playing Main Stage at a number of regional festivals, such as the Glastonbury Harvest Festival, the Hartford Rib- Off Festival, and most recently the first annual Hartbeat Music Festival.

VISITING WINE

The beauty of Visiting Wine's of first album creates a magnetic effect pulling the audience in to listen to the raw story telling and pure stomp and holler energy. The trio have joined forces to put a spin on modern folk rock, reminiscent of artists like Fleetwood Mac, the Oh Hellos, and the Ballroom Thieves. Together they weave warm, golden harmonies and bold songwriting voices that asks their audience to open their hearts and put on their dancing shoes.

Visiting Wine has played across the northeast from Vermont to Rhode Island. The band has recently played many festivals including Rhythm & Roots Festival, The Winter Stroll, and Rhode Island Summers End Festival.

XAVIER SERRANO

Serrano is a local native to New Haven, CT — he was the primary song writer in the now-defunct band Kindred Queer. Serrano led the group to create the orchestral soundscape of their EP, “Child” which released May of 2017. After parting ways with the members to establish himself as a solo artist, with putting out a few short demo EPs, he’s now releasing his first full length studio album ‘Bell Chimes of Yesteryear'.

Influenced by artists like The Pentangle, Nick Drake, Bert Jansch and Jeff Buckely, Xavier fuses traditional melodic styles with forward-thinking and unconventional forms. His songwriting spins stories of reawakening, self-growth, and the ever quest contemplations of life touching on the discordant chords of jazz, folk, and alternative rock.
