About this event
AMOC PRESENTS Sant Saëns Seine
May 5 | 6:30pm | $15
AMOC Presents is Sant Saëns Seine's Dallas debut! The band will perform wonderfully unclassifiable songs from 2021's Salon Trash and 2016's self-titled release, among other music.
In true AMOC fashion, Sant Saëns Seine is just the first performance of the night! Following AMOC Presents, local theatre group Fair Assembly will premiere Macbeth. Receive a discount to AMOC Presents if you purchase a ticket to Macbeth! Learn more about the production and get your tickets here .
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Formed as a modern art song project in New Jersey in the 2010s, to set the poetry of Ryan Sarno, Sant Saëns Seine features Natalie Sarno on keyboards and voice, and Megan Sarno on voice, in addition to Ryan's guitar, sampler and synths.
Sant Saëns Seine has released two albums on Ananalog Records. 2016's self-titled album relies on Sarno's unique, looping fingerstyle guitar, as much Ornette as it is Fahey. In 2021, the group released Salon Trash, recorded over four years in two Minneapolis apartments and a Dallas carport. Salon Trash incorporates the sample based beat production and deejay work of Sarno's Mediavuelta project, currently on its fifteenth release.
Natalie Sarno is a jazz keyboardist and educator based in Austin. Her other projects include Lucky Southern Jazz duo.
Megan Sarno is a musicologist at UT-Arlington.
In addition to Sant Saëns Seine, Sarno records and performs as DJ Mediavuelta, MFSP, King Cream, and the organizer of the Ananalog Soundsystem, a mobile disco playing African, Latin, Caribbean and funk. Visit ananalog.org for SSS releases, deejay sets, essays and a weekly radio show.

About the organizer
On the surface, Arts Mission Oak Cliff is a repurposed old church.
But it's a lot more than that – as a sanctuary for artists – and a safe place to foster artistic creativity, energy, and growth for all who enter.
