America’s Semiquincentennial: Ministers of Apollo

By Friends of the Indian King Tavern Museum

Overview

Musickal performance by the 18th century period group Ministers of Apollo

In honor of America’s Semiquincentennial, the Indian King Tavern Museum and The Haddon Fortnightly present Ministers of Apollo in a concert celebrating the five New Jersey signers of the Declaration of Independence—Abraham Clark, John Hart, Francis Hopkinson, Richard Stockton, and John Witherspoon.

Through authentic early American music paired with brief historic narration, the program evokes the world of 1776 and the courage of New Jersey’s delegation at Philadelphia.

This musickal performance invites you to reflect on New Jersey’s vital role in the fight for liberty and the enduring legacy of its signers, 250 years later. Light refreshments will be served. Tickets may be purchased through Eventbrite.

The performance will take place at The Haddonfield Fortnightly, 301 Kings Highway East.
