Description

Award-winning America’s Cup sailor, filmmaker and author Gary Jobson will give a lecture about his experiences not only participating in the America’s Cup but also his reporting on it.

Gary Jobson is an award-winning sailor, having won many of the world’s offshore races, and he was tactician on the winning America’s Cup yacht, Courageousin 1977 with skipper Ted Turner. He started his career as a sailing coach at the US Merchant Marine Academy, and later at the US Naval Academy. Since then, Gary has authored 19 books on sailing, narrated or produced over a 1,000 TV programs and films, has given over 2,000 lectures and has competed in close to 6,000 races. His articles appear regularly in Sailing World and Cruising World Magazines.

This lecture is a fundraiser for the Cape Cod Maritime Museum.
