American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification 2017

AMERICAN RED CROSS WATER SAFTETY INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION
The Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification will train instructor candidates to teach water safety, including the Basic Water Rescue course, swimming skills and techniques. Instructor Candidate’s will be trained to teach individuals of all ages and abilities. The Red Cross WSI certification is recognized Nationwide.
Become certified to teach the following:
- Parent and Child Aquatics
- Preschool Aquatics
- Safety Training for Swim Coaches
- Longfellow’s WHALE Tales
- Water safety courses and presentations
Prerequisites: Be at least 16 years old, be a proficient swimmer and successfully complete a stroke evaluation.
WSI Course 1: April 27 - 30, 2017
WSI Course 2: May 25 - 28, 2017
All Classes are held Thursday to Sunday
Thursday: 4pm - 10pm
Friday: 4pm - 10pm
Saturday: 9am - 7pm
Sunday: 9am - 7pm
*Must attend all classes (4) in the session and complete the prerequisites in order to fulfill certification requirements. All sessions will take place at Rollins College
Cost & Registration:
$298 (includes $35 to be paid to the Red Cross) *note: in the event of a cancellation, there is a non-refundable $50 registration fee
*$263.00 due for registration with a $35.00 fee paid to Red Cross. Link to Red Cross Registration will be emailed by instructor following initial registration.
