You’ll enjoy a lively evening in a big, blue barn surrounded by an abundance of fragrant flowers hosted by the affable and energetic owners of Texas Specialty Cut Flowers. Frank and Pamela Arnosky, both avid horticulturists, started farming in 1990 on thin, rocky soil in Texas and through hard work, research and experimentation have turned that land into a fertile birthplace for over 70 varieties of fresh cut flowers.
American Grown Flowers, food and wine will take center stage on this stop along a dinner tour that The Wall Street Journal is calling a “Feast Among the Flora.” The evening will focus on celebrating the idea that the flowers at the center of the table should be as fresh, local and sustainable as the food on your plate.
Both passionate flower farmers and advocates for sustainable farming practices, Frank and Pamela will share their amazing story with guests who will learn how the property evolved from a cedar grove to a thriving floral farm.
Perfecting the night with beautiful floral designs, H-E-B Bloom's own Erin Essensee will bring her talent and passion to the table by painting the night magical with gorgeous floral arrangements. Satisfying the taste pallets of our guests, Chef Sonya Coté of Coté Catering, will prepared a regionally inspired menu, including the freshest ingredients from local farms and ranches in the Austin area.
Guests will sip on locally sourced wine over lively conversation with like-minded dinner guests and will feast on an artisanal, locally sourced meal in a barn designed by Renowned furniture builder Gary Weeks, of Gary Weeks and Co. in Wimberley and inspired by old German agricultural society halls of the Texas Hill Country such as Anhalt Hall and Fischer Hall.
After a four course meal served family style and insightful talks and discussions from the farmer, chef and florist, guests will leave with an evening full of wonderful memories and will take with them a handcrafted bouquet of flowers and a Field to Vase tote full of floral treasures.
