Copresented by Citizen Film, National Writing Project, and Living Room Conversations In this film directed by Sam Ball, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Pulitzer Prize–winning historian David M. Kennedy come together from remarkably different backgrounds, life experiences, and points of view to explore the idea of a unifying “American creed.” Following the viewing, Joan Blades (cofounder of MoveOn.org and Living Room Conversations) and Elyse Eidman-Aadahl (Executive Director of the National Writing Project) will lead a discussion highlighting the film’s citizen-activists who strive to reconnect our country’s ideals across deep divides.
