Conroe Symphony Orchestra (CSO) continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary season with a special concert paying tribute to those who have served in the armed services. America the Beautiful will feature a special guest performance from The Victory Belles, ambassadors from the National World War II Museum.
“This concert was designed specifically to honor their service to our country and the sacrifices they have made,” Gary Liebst, CSO Director, said. “As far as musical highlights, we are thrilled to have our guest artists from the World War II Museum in New Orleans, The Victory Belles, join us for this concert. Their portion of the show should be a real highlight for the audience as they show off their vocal talents and present an Andrews Sisters style show.”
The concert will feature Patriotic favorites such as God Bless the USA/America arranged by Dean Smith; As Time Goes By Medley arranged by Reed; Service Salute/This is America arranged by David T. Clysdale and many more.
The CSO is proud to announce LtGen Steven Hummer, USMC, Ret. will serve as Emcee of our "America the Beautiful" concert on April 15! He is a veteran of 41 years active service in US Marine Corps.
LtGen Hummer, USMC, Ret. served multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and while in command of Regimental Combat Team 7 during the Liberation of Iraq, the regiment famously pulled down the statue of Saddam Hussein in Firdos Square, Baghdad.
He and his wife Sheri, who is also a Marine, live in The Woodlands.
Please join us April 15 at 2 p.m. at American the Beautiful with special guest the Victory Belles.
